Made in Queensland Round 4



The $15.5 million fourth round of the Made in Queensland (MIQ) program is now open for initial applications.


Eligible manufacturers can apply for grants between $50,000 and $2.5 million with matched funding to become more international competitive and adopt innovative processes and technologies.


To further advance our vision of being Australia’s leading manufacturing state, manufacturers operating in Queensland looking to reshore or onshore manufacturing activities to Queensland are eligible to apply for MIQ funding.


Regional manufacturers may also be eligible to receive up to 75 per cent of their project funding in this round of MIQ for projects to the value of $500,000.


Submissions close at 5:00PM 20 May 2021


About Made in Queensland


The Made in Queensland (MIQ) program is a $61.5 million Queensland Government initiative supporting small to medium manufacturers increase international competitiveness, productivity and innovation via the adoption of new technologies, and to generate high-skilled jobs for the future.


Since 2017, MIQ has undertaken three rounds supporting 84 advanced manufacturing projects across the state, with a fourth round now open for applications.


These projects are expected to create more than 1,100 jobs over five years and generate more than $100 million in private sector investment.


Made in Queensland grants are open to small to medium sized manufacturers across Queensland, with 40 per cent of the 84 projects being delivered in regional Queensland which will create more than 380 jobs over the next five years.


The Queensland Government has committed a further $15.5 million to undertake a fourth round of the program.
